Everyday instructions

Matthew Vescovo is the author of InstructoArt, an irreverent look at instruction manuals. he says that informative communication has gotten a bad rap, and he's out to show that there's beauty even in the most mundane instructions. The book offers a delightful de-constructions of ordinary life, such as the air-kiss, flagging down a waiter, and "the elevator fake-out" where you pretend to be trying to hold the elevator for someone who is approaching, but actually press the Close Door button.
